What are you doing today for the holiday? ‘Tis the season for outdoor winter sports like skiing, ice skating, sledding, or even starting a snowball fight.
I took this photograph (see below) about four years ago during the winter of 2016. And I decided that it would be perfect to share again on this holiday.
After a big snow storm in Washington, D.C., I was able to snap a shot of some cross country skiers enjoying the view with the Lincoln Memorial behind them.
In the Washington, D.C. area, large snow storms only happen every 5 – 10 years. Now that we’re living in the Chicago area, it’s a little colder and snowier. And I know it’s only February, but so far I’m really enjoying the winter here. We try to spend time outside, even for a short walk, every day.
Today, we don’t have any big plans, but I’m sure we’ll enjoy an outdoor activity. Are you a big fan of the snow? Or do you enjoy an outdoor winter sport?
