I hope you had an excellent 2019 and can look back on many fond memories from the 2010s.
This past year I adjusted to our new life in the Chicago area while becoming a Stay-At-Home-Mom. It was a whirlwind and I am surprised another year is already gone. When you have a child, time seems to move much quicker. Do any other parents agree?
For 2020, I look forward to making new goals and working towards them. Some of these typical goals include: organize the house (Marie Kondo style), create a routine / schedule with my toddler, and workout more. But the most important resolution I made is to be kinder to myself, teach my toddler son kindness, and spread kindness.
As part of my “kindness campaign”, I hope to continue expanding a volunteer group I launched in 2019, Intergenerational Buds (IGBuds). IGBuds connects residents of senior living homes with babies, toddlers, and stay-at-home parents through interactive play. If you live in Silver Spring, Maryland or Oak Park, Illinois and would like to learn more, please contact me.
What are your hopes, dreams, and/or goals for 2020?
