The Strong National Museum of Play

Looking for something to do in Upstate New York with a toddler? Last weekend we went on a road trip to visit family in New York. While we were there, my cousin and I took our toddlers to The Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester, New York.

My one year old son had a really great time and I enjoyed watching him play while I took photos and a few videos. I’m a big fan of kids museums and I wish there were one this large in Washington, D.C.

This was the first time taking my toddler to a kids museum and I learned not to plan for chit chat time with adults. I spent most of the time running around as my toddler explored everything!

At The Strong National Museum of Play, my son was able to participate in a lot of different activities from admiring an aquarium to pushing around a wheel barrel on a pretend construction site.

My son ran around, having fun learning and exploring. I was able to sit back a for a few minutes and let him enjoy a toy train among many other toys. (As a stay at home Mom, I really enjoy those brief moments whenever I can get them).
